Want to know the insanely easy way I made $45 in only 10 minutes? Imagine making over $40 bucks in less than one hour! That’s an hourly salary made in just a few minutes, except it required not an ounce of “hard work”.  In fact, it’s probably some of the easiest money I’ve made my whole life.

So… How Did I Do It?

You’re probably thinking of a number of possibilities: maybe an odd job or a favor from a friend, perhaps I got lucky at one of those scratchers tickets (aren’t those fun?)

Here’s a not so secret way I make extra money in the comfort of my own home, with little to no work: rebates apps.

I know what you may be thinking: “Oh God, not another blog post about one of those things again. The amount of surveys and questionaries I have to answer just to get a few measly points is sickening!”

And I’m here to tell you that you’re certainly not alone. Back when I was a broke teen, looking to make some spending money since my parents couldn’t afford to give me an allowance, I depended on those survey sites: InboxDollars, Toluna, Harris Poll. Ibotta, Checkout51, Opinion Outpost, you name it, I tried it!

But there’s one that I use to this day, that I find completely worth it: Swagbucks.

Here’s a secret: the way I made this money involved two different apps, but we’ll start with Swagbucks.

Swagbucks is a rebates/cash back app that allows you to trade credits called “Swagbucks” int gift cards to companies like Starbucks, iTunes, even Paypal cash and Visa Rewards cards! This is one of the only cash back websites that allows you to redeem points for real money.

On Swagbucks, you can earn credits in quite a few different ways:

  • answering surveys and daily polls,
  • completing small tasks like clicking a website link or signing up for a newsletter
  • shopping through retailers like Amazon, Target, and Groupon
  • playing games
  • surfing the web through their search engine

As you can see, there’s tons of ways to rack up enough credits to get some really awesome rewards.

Step By Step

The way that I made approximately $45 in only 5 minutes is this: I signed up for a Hulu subscription.

Yep, that’s literally all it took.

Swagbucks displays different offers for their partners for users to sign up for and redeem a certain amount of swagbucks for. They display exactly how many swagbucks you’ll earn by completing the offer.

Now, I don’t often rely on these to make me swagbucks. Some of them are a better ROI than others, and sometimes I’m not always interested. However, this one was absolutely too good to miss, a no brainer if you ask me.

For only $7.99, I would earn back a whopping 2900 Swagbucks, which is equivalent to $29 USD!

Literally, almost quadruple my money back? No way!

I scoured the fine print, making sure the offer wasn’t too good to be true, that there wasn’t some catch or extra loops I had to get through. This isn’t usually he case, but better safe than sorry.

Nope, it was just that simple. Get a basic monthly Hulu subscription, earn $29. There was no way I was going to let this deal slip through my fingers. Plus, if I didn’t like it, I could always cancel later, with no penalty to me.

So I clicked right through to the offer, signed up, and got my reward within seconds!

Hold Up, That’s Only $29. Where’d You get $40+ From?

It gets even juicier, my friend!

Swagbucks is only half the story. The other half belongs to Ebates.

I’ve written an entire blog post on my favorite ways to save and make extra money by using Ebates, so it’s clear I’m a huge fan. If you love shopping, Ebates is your secret weapon to capitalize off your spending habits, and get more bang for your buck.

I have the Ebates browser extension installed on my computer, so every time I visit certain websites, it’ll alert me of a current deal they’re having. When I visited the Hulu website, a pop up from the Ebates browser extension let me know that I could earn up to $25 for making a purchase! So you know I pushed the activate button lightening fast!

I couldn’t believe it: I had the potential to earn over $50 just from signing up for a freaking Hulu subscription?? This must be my lucky day!

So, after I took advantage of both Swagbucks and Ebates, offers, I ended up with a new Hulu subscription, a 2900 swagbucks reward, and a $15 rebate from Ebates.

Yeah, I didn’t get the full $25, which was a little bit of a bummer. I suspected it was because I opted for the $7.99 subscription rather than the $12.99 one, but I honestly couldn’t complain: had I not had the Ebates browser extension in the first place, I would’ve missed out altogether.

So that’s how I made $44 in less than ten minutes: Swagbucks and Ebates.

If you’re not already signed up with them yet, well you better start today and start making you some easy money! Seriously, what could possibly be easier than these guys?
